Dates: March 17-18, 2011
Venue: University Union Building, Denton, Texas, U.S.A.

Arminta Jacobson and Rudy Ray Seward invite you to be part of the International Conference on Parent Education and Parenting at UNT and the related International Collaborative Research Exchange. The conference and exchange will bring together students and faculty with a broad range of nationalities, backgrounds, and viewpoints and provide opportunities for interdisciplinary and international activities.

This will be the 19th Conference organized and hosted by UNT’s Center for Parent Education (CPE). Since 2009, CPE has collaborated with the International Sociological Association’s Committee on Family Research (ISA/CFR). The CPE annual conference uniquely focuses on educating and supporting parents. Over the years, the CPE conference has attracted national and increasingly international participants. CFR has held seminars or conferences throughout the world since 1954. Over 350 scholars residing in 53 different counties are members of CFR.

The Exchange builds on the success of the International Collaboration Workshop first held in 2009. The purpose of the Exchange is to allow our numerous international guests and representatives from UNT to network and discuss opportunities for international research collaborations. International guests will have an opportunity to share information about their current and future research endeavors.

Both the conference and exchange should stimulate further research and educational collaboration between students, faculty, and scholars at UNT with their counterparts at other universities and agencies.
